The pub nestles in the village of Eastbridge. It is off the beaten track surrounded by heath, marshland and pretty cottages. 

Steve and Rosie keep Simmental beef cattle just up the road at Eastbridge Farm, and the staff and locals are reguarly drafted in to assist in the movement of the herd through the village!   Our locals are friendly and knowledgeable, and it is worth chatting to one or two to learn about scenic walks, good bird watching tips and current village gossip!

We are lucky enough to be located on the edge of RSPB Bird Reserve Minsmere a birdwatchers paradise and a great day out for the whole family. For further information click on the link below:

By train

Saxmundham or Darsham (5 miles) on East Suffolk line from Ipswich to Lowestoft. Then use Coastlink or local taxi - see below. Check connections on National Rail Enquiries website, or phone 08457 484950.

By bus

Nearest scheduled buses Leiston (3 miles). A demand-responsive bus will meet local buses and trains from 7 am to 7 pm Monday to Saturday. It must be booked the day before travelling by calling Suffolk Links Blyth on 01728 833526. If walking from Leiston, follow B1122 past Leiston Abbey and turn right into Eastbridge.

By road

Follow A12 to Yoxford take the B1122 towards Leiston, once you have passed through Theberton (6 Miles) you will see our sign on the side of the road, turn left immediately afterwards and follow lane for approx 1 mile.
